How does the NFC metal card work?

Unlike conventional NFC smart cards, the NFC chip is built into the metal card in places. As a signal-shielding material, metal generally does not allow RFID transmission. For this reason, we have combined optics and function in place of the QR code. It is therefore necessary to initiate the contactless transmission on the back instead of the QR code. Due to the shielding effect, your card has an RFID blocker! This means that the point of signal transmission can be easily protected to prevent misuse.

What are the advantages of the NFC metal card?

The workmanship of the metal card gives it a very high-quality and noble appearance, and the material also offers a particularly high level of durability. The card is powder-coated and lettering and logos are lasered onto it. The laser produces a very clear engraved image of the design you have specified. The coating also creates a soft edge, so you can keep the card in your wallet without damaging the material.

Which design can be realised with the metal card?

With the NFC metal card, you now have the option of uploading your own design and creating it directly on our site. Please note that the engraving is metal-coloured, so no colour gradations or similar can be stored. We will contact you, but should there be any abnormalities with your card! For complex designs with colourful layouts, we still recommend our personalisable smartcard.
